So, we have finally come to the end of the blog post.


And finally the end of semester 4. I liked the the IT class so much, it has teach me a lot of things.

My basic skill about IT and anything that is related to computer or the internet are pretty low before this, I don't even have a blog before. But with the help of Sir Ariff as my lecturer in the IT class, I actually manage to get to know a lot about IT's. Like the information that I love the most which is about the World Wide Web and how the internet goes through here and there around the world to connect the information.

And another thing that is catch my attention in Sir Ariff''s class is about the Deep Web also known as Dark Web. I never know the existence about that web before where drug trafficking, organs are sold there, even military guns and many others are there. Wow, talking about a great IT skills to actually pass through security and protocol of internet to actually create one.

Next, I also know and perhaps is now an amateur to use the Canva to edit image, create poster and info-graphic image. With the help of knowledge I get from Canva, I actually do lots of thing with the assignment. One of the thing is to design graphic image to include in the final assignment of the course ware. Though some things like Smartbuilder are pretty difficult to use with, at least I know the very basic skills to use it. The most exciting one is where me and my friend, Helmi created a cartoon educational video using the Powtoons. With the help of Sir Ariff, the Powtoons that me and Helmi created are pretty amazing (for beginners like me a baby try to learn on how to crawl and walk hahaha).

 I also have somehow enhance my skill in creating & writing blogs now. I know how to post, edit a post, copy an embed code, Urls and many more. Though my design in creating blogs are not that good but yeah, as a degree student, Blogs are one of important thing to learn with especially in the IT class. Above all, I think i have slightly improves my knowledge and skill about computers and the internet.

Thank you Sir Ariff for teaching us and guide us to the right path, you stated everything so clear to the point of we did not understand that certain thing, but still, you teach us until we manage to get the idea of it. Thank you Sir Ariff, you're a good lecturer. God bless you. Assamualaikum.

Hello people! It's hard to believe that we have finally reach to the last post of Kuala Lumpur blog...

 And today, we will take a look at the KL Tower and also the one and only, KLCC.

So, what is so interesting about both of this iconic tower of  Malaysia? People say it a must visit place if you come to Kuala Lumpur.

Well first, we take a look at the KL Tower, which i have visited before.

So here we go,

The KL Tower is a 421m high telecommunications and broadcasting tower which actually appears to be taller than the Petronas Towers, because it is built on a hill. Amidst the city of Kuala Lumpur stands the Menara Kuala Lumpur at 515m above sea level.

Located in the heart of the Golden Triangle, Kuala Lumpur’s business and entertainment district, the Tower is perched at 421 meters /1,403 feet. Bukit Nanas itself, where the tower is built, is 94 meters above sea level. The Tower is the second tallest tower in Asia today.

It's a joke, and everybody knows, that the Petronas Towers are the highest buildings in Kuala Lumpur. Tourists and executives flying in on business class airfares always try to get a good look at the Petronas Towers. Air travel into the city, whether for business or pleasure, is not complete without seeing these marvels of modern architecture from an airline.

It also claims to house the highest McDonald's in the World. This tower has an observation deck, where you  finally can manage to get a bird's eye view of the city.

Menara Kuala Lumpur ranks fourth amongst the tallest telecommunications towers in the world and was constructed over a period of four years and completed in May 1996. Menara Kuala Lumpur is designed to withstand wind pressures of up to 90mph.

Here's a fact about the tower.

Not to forget that there are also a mini zoo located just a few meters from the tower. It's called KL tower Mini Zoo.

So next, we move to KLCC guys!

 The facts are already posted previously using the infographic image, so why don't we go just for a trivia and simple facts about KLCC?

• Despite widely known as KLCC, the real name of the twin tower is Petronas Towers, also known as Petronas Twin Towers, are twin buildings located at he heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

• One of the most admirable buildings in the world, Petronas Twin Towers sport unique and sauve architecture.

• These towers have served as a backdrop for many Bollywood movies.

•  Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world until 2004, when Taipei 101 took over the title.

•  Petronas Towers are still the tallest twin buildings in the world.

• There are 88 stories in Petronas Twin Towers.

• Petronas Twin Towers make use of glass facade that was designed to resemble Islamic art motifs.

• The entry to Petronas Towers is free, but only a limited number of timed tickets are provided on a daily basis.

• Petronas Twin Towers have 32,000 windows (wow imagine how the cleaner will clean all of those windows, talking about tough jobs huh)

• It cost US $1.2 billion to build Petronas Towers.

• The sky-bridge of Petronas Twin Towers is at 41st and 42nd level and is 58.4m (192ft) long. It
  weighs 750 tons.

• The main occupant of the Petronas Towers is Petronas, the national oil-company of Malaysia.

• Not to forget that KLCC is where i have met a lot of tourist and foreigners, where I had a conversation with them to improve my English speaking skills.

Hello people, we are almost at the end of the week of our blog here.

So today, we take a look at one of the famous night market in KL.

The Petaling Street. 

And this is the location of the Petaling Street :

Take a closer look at the entrance, pretty amazing huh.

Well, Petaling Street is more like a Chinatown of KL according to many people's perspective about it.I mean, just look at the place, it filled with lots of influence from the Chinese architecture.

Petaling Street, the centre of Kuala Lumpur's original Chinatown, maintains much of its traditional atmosphere, particularly at night when vendors fan out their merchandise along the street. 

While you can shop for anything from gems and incense to toys and t-shirts, the true attraction of this night market is in wandering about and enjoying its sights, sounds and energy. Food is plentiful with many scrumptious varieties to choose from; some of the restaurants here have been in business for generations. 

Locals flock to Petaling Street primarily for bargain accessories and great Chinese food. So, go on, be brave - head down to Petaling Street with an empty stomach and an adventurous spirit. Even if you don't spend a cent, (which will be hard because there's a lot of item here...I accidentally bought myself a shirt because it was so eye catching. lol. ), you are guaranteed to have an amazing experience here. 

Just look at all those items there, this is only the entrance.

I personally think that RM100 is enough for you to buy some clothes, souvenirs and foods at Petaling Street, not to forget that other than the Chinese restaurants, there are also halal malay stall around the corner for you to eat. From rice with lauk-pauk, drinks, char kuey tiow, you name it! 

The place will be crowded right after 7:30pm with lots of local people and also foreigner, better watch out for pickpockets and keep yourself comfortable walking in crowds of people.
Petaling Street will be closed starting 10:15pm, so you have that 2hours of adrenaline rush to look at things you wanna buy.

The lanterns are everywhere along the street ! It's pretty and colourful, making the Chinatown Petaling Street looks so alive !

Hey! Welcome back to my blog people.

So here today, we are going to see one of the main attraction in Kuala Lumpur, The Merdeka Square!

So, what is this Merdeka Square?

Dataran Merdeka, a must visit place for those who roams around the KL city.

•    The Merdeka Square (Independence Square or Dataran Merdeka) is situated in the centre of the city. It's close to the Gombak river, the Masjid Jamek, Central Market and China Town. It's the core of KL's history. Here you find buildings like the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the Royal Selangor Club, and the National History museum. 

• Some of them peppered with Arabic - Moorish flavour. A 100 metre-high flagpole marks the spot where the Malayan Flag was hoisted on August 31, 1957 signifying the independence of the country from British rule.

   We're starting at the Selangor Club. Seen from across the Padang, which was originally a cricket field.

In 1892 it had 140 members including some who were absent from Selangor. Before there was a club everybody met everybody at Maynards (it means a place where you sell liquors), which was the only European shop in Kuala Lumpur during that time, wow you can actually get a good drinks back then, if only you were a noble,hahaha... Now look at this picture... This is the main attraction located just across the street. The building of Sultan Abdul Samad.    The most beautiful building at the Merdeka Square is, without any doubt, the Abdul Samad Building.    The Sultan Abdul Samad building was constructed in 1897 and designed by a British architect, A.C. Norman, who worked for the Public Works Department at that time. He took into consideration some of the features of buildings in several Islamic countries.    The predominantly Arabic - Moorish appearance of the building suitably reflects the cultural background of Malaysia.    The unique Moorish-style building has a 41m clock tower, more like a Malaysian version of the Big Ben in London. Not really the same but yeah you get me right?    The current Dataran Merdeka has a lot of improvement so far,  here's the list that i know a bit about it. There's a new fountain architecture located at the end of the road around Merdeka Square. There's a new law and curfew which is, the public cannot park their vehicles after 9 p.m, the DBKL ( the law officers of KL city ) also chase out the road hooligans like Mat Rempit in order to keep the peaceful environment. There's actually a shopping mall located under the Merdeka Square, quite fascinating isn't it? The building at the beginning of the Dataran Merdeka used to be a high class royal restaurant by a popular local malay chef. The name of the Restaurant is Warisan. But now it is currently moved to another place, and the building remain to be part of the KL museum exhibits.
